After you create an account and confirm your email, Signup Crew directs a new account to Set up your workspace. Signup Crew keeps its organization-based security and ownership structure behind the scenes, but you do not need to be a formal organization to subscribe.
- Create an account and confirm your email.
- On the first-event setup screen, enter an Organization Name (optional) or leave it blank to use your profile name. If your profile has no usable name, Signup Crew uses My Signup Crew. This name appears on public Event pages and emails. Choose Continue; Signup Crew starts the 14-day Crew Free Trial. No card, plan choice, or billing information is required.
- On the one-time Welcome to the Crew screen, choose Create My First Event, then select Volunteer Event or RSVP Event on Create Event.
- The Organization Owner can change Organization Name later in Organization Settings → Public profile & Email settings and choose Save Organization Name. Existing Event links stay the same. Individuals and organizations can both subscribe.
The Organization's initial welcome is recorded when it is displayed. It will not return on later visits, even if you leave without choosing Create My First Event or creating an Event. If you return to the Dashboard before creating an Event, Create Your First Event opens the Event type choices. This Getting Started guidance disappears when the Organization creates its first Event, even before publication, and does not return if that Event is later deleted.
You can add a logo, public contact information, and other public details later under Organization Settings. Open Help from the navigation whenever you need it.
Creating the Organization makes you its Organization Owner. If you joined only through an Event invitation, you receive access to that Event instead and are not asked to create an Organization.
If you leave before trial setup finishes
Sign in again with the confirmed account. Signup Crew resumes the same idempotent trial setup and does not create another Organization or trial. A genuine recoverable error shows Try Again; successful activation continues to the existing welcome flow. Existing customers and invitation recipients continue to their established workspace or invitation instead of receiving another trial.
